01  Robuvit® – French oak wood extract against fatigue

Robuvit® is a standardized, water-based extract from the wood of the French oak (Quercus robur). The contained Roburine (Ellagitannins) are converted in the intestine to so-called Uroliths Metabolized – substances associated with improved mitophagy. In simpler terms: The cell removes inefficient mitochondria and replaces them with more efficient ones.

REVIEW · 20+ CLINICAL STUDIES, 1,172 SUBJECTS A review article in the Journal of Medicinal Food (2021) summarized the data on Robuvit®: investigated in over 20 published clinical studies with a total of 1,172 participants. Supplementation was associated with reduced fatigue, improved recovery, and increased energy – consistent with the described effects of urolithins on mitochondria. The Energy Caps contain 60 mg Robuvit® per daily serving. In the underlying studies, effects on chronic fatigue and recovery were frequently observed at 300 mg/day.

02  Pycnogenol® – OPC from pine bark

With 100 mg Pycnogenol® The formula delivers another intensively researched branded raw material: a standardized extract from the bark of the French maritime pine, rich in OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins). Pycnogenol is one of the best-documented plant antioxidants and is associated with cell protection, microcirculation, and skin health.

The strength of the formula lies not in a single active ingredient, but in the interplay of antioxidants, carotenoids and mitochondrial fuel.

03  UC-II® – undenatured type II collagen for the joints

Unlike collagen peptides, Undenatured type II collagen (UC-II®) Not as a building block, but via an immunological mechanism in the gut that helps protect joint cartilage. Even small amounts are effective – the Energy Caps contain 20 mg.

META-ANALYSIS · 17 STUDIES A systematic review and meta-analysis (2025) on the effect of undenatured type II collagen on knee joint function in healthy individuals and those with osteoarthritis found improvements in pain and function scores (WOMAC, VAS) – with a safety profile comparable to placebo. In key clinical trials, UC-II was typically administered with 40 mg/day dosed, for example in the multicenter RCT by Lugo et al. (2016), which showed a significant improvement in the WOMAC total score compared to placebo and compared to glucosamine+chondroitin.

04  Q10, NADH & Astaxanthin – the energy triad

Q10 and NADH are directly involved in ATP production in the mitochondria. AstaxanthinThe red carotenoid from microalgae is among the most powerful natural antioxidants; a review article in Molecular Medicine Reports describes its protective role for muscles under oxidative stress. Together with Lutein and Zeaxanthin (for eyesight) this results in a broad antioxidant profile.

05  The foundation: Vitamins that are legally permitted to have an effect

The most reliable claims made by such a formula often come from the "classic" micronutrients, whose effects are legally recognized. The Energy Caps contain all of them. 8 B vitamins – including methylated folic acid (5-MTHF) and methylated B12 (methylcobalamin) instead of cyanocobalamin – as well as a full spectrum of oligoelements.
